In the artist's words:

Born in Hamburg, he consists of at least 51% real sailor's yarn and sometimes eats one to three matjes fillets in the afternoon, because, as we all know, it's healthy and spoils your day. He has found his home port with the Klabaut men and women of the Hamburg Pastanaga collective. But the sea called him and so he weighed anchor at the beginning of 2021 and explored the club waters of Berlin for 3 years before returning to the gateway to the world.

He learned the basics of seafaring dance music during funky trips to the South Pole or the Moloch, as well as in the notoriously grumpy bay. Inspired by the singing of the Snarenes and carried away by the swell of the low-frequency baselines, the scales fell from his eyes at some point and he decided to take the helm himself, hoisted the swallow flag and set sail in his dinghy named Irene. He could be recognized from afar through the telescope eyepiece, because instead of a tattered floppy hat and a bottle of rum - as you might expect from some lousy pirates - you would always find Capitano niklasecco with a matching headdress and a flute of sparkling wine.

His expeditions into the rattling deep waters follow a clear route: the compass needle undoubtedly points in the direction of massive bass and the echo sounder registers low-frequency sounding. We chug along at a smooth, exciting 106-116 bpm knots, always following our noses - sometimes left, sometimes right - without a destination and without a plan, but without ever really getting lost.
