1980-85 Studied free painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Ellen Neumann and Anatol Herzfeld as well as Joseph Beuys and Johannes Stüttgen in conjunction with the F.I.U.

The first manifestos are created at the beginning of the 80s. Objective: to rebel against the prevailing view that painting is dead. The manifestos serve as the basis for a series of portraits with which Oliver Jordan redefines realism in painting from 1980-1986

1984 Study trip to Algeria, including Tipasa, Oran and Algiers. Beginning of a comprehensive cycle on Albert Camus and the Mediterranean
