In the artist's words:

Jörg Modrow, born in 1963, grew up in Schleswig-Holstein and discovered his passion for photography, light, people and nature at the age of 13. At the age of 21, Geo magazine published Jörg Modrow's first major reportage.

Since then, he has worked as a freelance photographer in Hamburg for various magazines and organizations as well as on his own photo projects. Jörg Modrow's reportages and travel stories have been published in numerous illustrated books and in German and international magazines - for some of them he has traveled halfway around the world for decades.

Whether in Patagonia, South Africa, Alaska, India, on the Baltic Sea or in the Libyan desert: Jörg Modrow is always on the lookout for the beauty of nature, and his photos show us how worthy of protection and vulnerable our earth is. This is also the case in Florida, where Jörg has photographed several times for travel magazines and for two grants from VG Bild-Kunst. His multimedia project "Home Street Home" can be seen on Vimeo.

In his hometown of Hamburg, Jörg Modrow photographs business portraits for companies and agencies, architecture, reportages and theater productions or he works as a videographer and documents events. Jörg is a member of laif, one of the most renowned photo agencies in the world.
