Since their founding in 1983, the Paveier have become an integral part of the Cologne music scene. 
They’re known for Carnival classics like “Schön ist das Leben” and “Heut brennt mein Iglu,” but they’ve also won over audiences with more recent, highly successful songs like “Leev Marie” and their latest hit, “Nie mehr Alkohol.”
With their song “Leev Marie,” the Paveier not only landed the Cologne session hit of 2016—the track also charted for several weeks on the national singles charts (peaking at No. 34). On the iTunes Schlager charts, the song even held the No. 1 spot for weeks. Most recently, it was voted the most popular Carnival song of all time by all WDR4 listeners.
