The fact that his parents told him as a child that he should learn to play an instrument has made him what Phil Young is today: a singer-songwriter who writes his songs both on his guitar and on the piano and performs them on stage.

With more than 500 concerts since the beginning of his career, Phil is not only at home on several stages in Germany. He has also wowed audiences on the stages and streets of Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands and England.

Various support gigs, including for British musician Rhys Lewis, opened the doors to the British Isles for him, which he now regularly traverses with his guitar in his luggage.

His own genre "Modern Vintage" has contributed to this. This was particularly well received by the British audience, who are spoiled for quality. With sounds inspired by greats such as James Bay and the Beatles, blurring the boundaries between soul, Britpop and folk, Phil was able to captivate the audience time and time again. His songs sound modern, but at the same time always carry a hint of nostalgia. An apparent contradiction that is combined in the music to create a unique experience and develops its very own, typical sound.

The result: genuine feelings and a large portion of authenticity that speak from Phil's soul and lyrics that make the songs emotionally versatile and bring the listener together with their own emotional world. Lyrics about heartbreak join memories of past moments of happiness and sadness and offer an insight into the inner self of a musician who not only captivates with his piano and guitar, but also reaches the listener directly with his soulful voice.
