Philipp Ruhmhardt has been active as a DJ and music collector since the mid-90s. His journey has taken him from hip hop, funk & soul, jazz, drum n bass and house to the fast and hard techno of modern times. Always on the lookout for unusual tracks and special sounds, he passionately digs his way through the almost infinite world of electronic music. The main thing is that the sound is hypnotic and full of character.
Philipp Ruhmhardt has been playing at the opening of Nature One in Kastellaun for years and is the host of the program "DASDING Plattenleger" on Südwestrundfunk.
As a producer, he created one of the biggest techno anthems of recent years together with his buddy Stephan Hinz: the track "Doch" was played by DJs such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer and Chris Liebing and can be heard in Joseph Capriati's mix for the well-known compilation series Fabric. This resulted in bookings throughout Germany, including at the Rakete in Nuremberg, the Rote Sonne in Munich, Berlin's Watergate and international gigs in Bolivia and the Dominican Republic.
Born in the Rhineland, he has also been active as an event organizer for many years and is considered a busy networker in Cologne's nightlife. He is behind the Römertanz and UNTERTAGE event series, among others.
