PICCELL

In the artist's words:

African rhythms paired with house grooves that put the soul in ecstasy, accompanied by sounds that catapult the dopamine level high, that is Piccell, the sum of AfroTech, TechHouse and Gqom. Since his early childhood, art has been an essential, as well as faithful, companion who has strongly supported growing up and living in a cultural cocktail with the most diverse tensions. This is also reflected in his sound, with vocals from a wide variety of African languages laid over Angolan AfroHouse and enriched with North African Darbukka loops, for example.

A journey begins.

The boundaries become blurred.

The main thing is that the drums bang.

Piccell is currently working on his own productions as well as the artist collective "Barulho World" and is one of the resident DJs at Junkyard Dortmund.
