Playaplaya is a Leipzig-based trio that has been positioning itself between live spontaneity and modern production with energetic indie funk since its formation in 2023. After two EPs and numerous concerts, the debut album "Dearest Algo, please care for this album as much as we do" will be released on October 10, 2025.

The sound, often compared to acts such as Khruangbin, Parcels or Jungle, combines partly psychedelic funk grooves with indie pop aesthetics and socially relevant lyrics. Largely recorded live, it captures the vibrancy of the stage energy of the three musicians Felix Hempel (drums/vox), Tom Bunzel (bass/vox) and Noah Schulz (guitar/vox).
