In the artist's words:

Kay Kastner (*1974) studied film and television studies, theater studies and art history in Leipzig, Liverpool and Bochum, graduating with a master's degree in 2004. During his studies, he worked as a cameraman and video technician at the Ruhrtriennale and at Schauspielhaus Bochum under the directorship of Matthias Hartmann. During this time, he also produced his own short films for numerous short film festivals, winning several awards. Since then, Kay Kastner has been working freelance in Berlin for various television production companies (South & Browse, Inflagranti, Weltruf).
