RENI HERVOLY Ensemble

In the artist's words:

RENI HERVOLY Ensemble (formerly RONEE) is an international ensemble project based in NRW, led by singer-performer and composer Renáta "Reni" Hervoly. The project combines diverse influences from jazz and contemporary music, characterized by a subtle Eastern European character, and deals with themes of human vulnerability and resilience.

The ensemble was formed during their studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. The band was included in the "New Faces in the Jazz-Schmiede" series in Düsseldorf and was also part of the publicly broadcast WDR Campus Jazz series. The formation played concerts at "Sommer am U", Domicil Dortmund and Artheater Cologne, among others. In 2023 and 2024, the ensemble was nominated for the "Women in Jazz - Next Generation Virtual Award". In 2021, the band released their first EP "Wake", which was created as an international collaboration project.

Reni's new album with her ensemble project will be released in 2026.
