RICHIE ROS

"Odyssey" Richie Ros' debut album springs from a life less ordinary. Richie Ros' life story is a testament to the human spirit and the cathartic, healing nature of music. Growing up in a state orphanage in the Irish city of Limerick, Richie felt confused as to why his life turned out the way it did.

It was on Richie's 11th birthday that he was finally given his long-awaited guitar by a teacher who taught him his very first song on the guitar: "Johnny Be Goode". To cope with such emotional turmoil, Richie began to write and perform his own songs and developed his own inner world in which his feelings were expressed through music.

Despite the trauma of his early years, Richie refuses to let his past define him. Richie had no control over the events in his life, but the one thing he did have control over was his attitude.

Fate found him: David Odlum, Grammy award-winning producer of The Frames, who, after liking the demo, agreed to produce Richie's debut album "Odyssey" at Black Box Studio in France. The album is aptly titled "Odyssey" - the journey of a young boy who worked against all odds to create his own fairytale. The music in his soul had, as he himself put it, "finally set him free". "Odyssey" will be released in May 2019 and Richie Ros will be touring extensively, sharing his songs and stories with the world.
