Roosmarijn is an experimental, melodic pop artist from Arnhem (Netherlands). Her music transcends genres and combines the intimate expressiveness of the singer-songwriter tradition with the evocative depth of the viola - a unique sound experience. She transforms spaces into experiences and has performed an impressive range of live shows, making stages in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Iceland, the UK, Sweden, Norway and France her home.

Five years after the release of her EP Inside Out, Roosmarijn's debut album Wide Open Space was released on 15.11.2024 by Backseat. For this album, she collaborated with artists such as Morris Kliphuis (KAPOK) and Sam Jones (LUWTEN, Benny Sings). The work offers a wealth of sounds - from creaking double bass and enchanting string arrangements to birdsong and club-like synthesizers.

Roosmarijn confidently guides us through her first album, which is a personal, emotional journey through different phases of life and spaces. Inspired by the power and beauty of nature, she explores life in all its simplicity and complexity - with bold departures and a longing for the unknown. These themes are reflected in her process of learning, struggling and growing and are expressed in the title track Wide Open Space.
