Roxette formed in Halmstadt, Sweden, in 1986 and became known worldwide with their album "Look Sharp!" (1988) because an American student gave the CD, which he bought while on vacation in Sweden, to a radio station. The duo had previously enjoyed national success with their debut album "Pearls of Passion" (1986), which reached number 2 in the Swedish album charts. With the success of "Look Sharp!", Roxette laid the foundations for a worldwide career, which was rewarded with "Joyride" in 1991 and "Tourism" in 1992 with #1 placements in the German and Swedish charts. Also "Crash! Boom! Bang!" (1994), "Have A Nice Day" (1999) and "Room Service" (2001) also became number 1 albums in Sweden and landed in the top 3 in Germany. After Fredriksson's cancer, Roxette took a break for a few years until they made their comeback in 2009 as part of the Night of the Proms. In 2011, the album "Charm School" was released, which entered the charts at number 1 in Germany. The album "Travelling" followed in 2012. After the release of the album "Good Karma" in 2016, Fredriksson's doctors advised her to stop touring.
