Sapucaiu no Samba

Sapucaiu no Samba is a German-Brazilian cultural project and was founded in 1998 under the direction of Dietrich Kollöffel.

Every year, Sapucaiu no Samba presents itself at the Carnival of Cultures in Berlin and, with over 100 drummers and up to 100 dancers from seven nations, is one of the largest formations at the colorful, multicultural parade. The samba school with numerous musicians and dancers from the Brazilian scene has now developed into one of the most important samba formations in Germany and Europe.

Sapucaiu no Samba has already been awarded 1st place four times at the Carnival of Cultures in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007.
