In the artist's words:

The Cologne band SCHNUPPE deliver an irresistible mix of NDW, punk and noise pop that immediately catches the ear and gets you moving. Their songs oscillate between sixties garage and wave, are sometimes snotty, sometimes laconic, always pointed and with a good dose of humor and self-irony. The lyrics put their finger in the wounds of the present and hit the heart of everyday life with pointed slogans.

Musically, SCHNUPPE are reminiscent of the Lassie Singers, Ideal or Stefan Remmler's laconic descriptions of the state of things - and their uncompromising attitude is reminiscent of the Breeders. They mine pure gold from the mines of simplicity: reduction meets playfulness, catchiness meets attitude.

Their debut album "Drin was draufsteht" was released in March 2025 on the Hamburg punk label Rookie Records. The OX fanzine (#174, 3/2024) said: "Very charming and convincing with their all-female-NDW-postpunk-noisepop, which they perform with absolute joy of playing. Tip!"
