Silke Z.

In the artist's words:

Silke Z. is a dancer, choreographer and co-founder and artistic director of ehrenfeldstudios e.V.. With her company Silke Z. resistdance, she has been developing innovative, socially relevant dance productions since 1999, working across generations with a diverse ensemble. Her more than 42 works have toured internationally and received numerous awards, including the Isadora Duncan Award, the Cologne Dance Prize and a nomination for the German Theater Prize DER FAUST.

She initiates and curates numerous formats at the Ehrenfeldstudios, is involved in nationwide dance networks and combines artistic practice with research - including in her PhD on "Immediacy in Dance". Her work stands for accessible, diverse and socially anchored dance art.
