Simon & Ingo - that's Simon Slomma and Ingo Nordmann, two guys from Bonn who met at a poetry slam in 2015. And not just somehow, but both in the final. It could hardly have gone better. They've been making music together ever since.

What makes Simon & Ingo so special

The duo describe themselves as a singer-songwriter rap crew: a mixture that sounds strange at first, but simply works live. Ingo raps and sings, while Simon not only sings and raps, but also plays guitar, piano, drums and bass. The two of them not only bring lyrics to the stage, but also a real band energy, and they do it as a duo.

Simon & Ingo: humor meets attitude

What sets their songs apart is their unique balancing act between humor and seriousness. It's about looking for a job after university, application rejections, climate change, privilege and the everyday madness of growing up, but always with a wink. Their motto could hardly fit better: "This life is too important to take seriously." The lyrics are clever, socially critical and yet hilarious.
