The Söhne Mannheims have been an exceptional phenomenon on the German music scene for 29 years. The multicultural collective with roots in Zimbabwe, Ghana, Egypt, Italy, Poland, Spain and Germany mixes soul, pop and hip hop with polyphonic vocals to create a unique sound - the studio and live recordings have achieved multiple gold and platinum status in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Founded in 1995, the band is a platform for world-class singers and musicians. Until his departure in 2017, singer and songwriter Xavier Naidoo shaped the sound; today it is the voices of Dominic Sanz, Giuseppe "Gastone" Porrello, Karim Amun, Michael Klimas and rapper Metaphysics. Keyboardist Florian Sitzmann, drummer Ralf Gustke, bassist Edward Maclean and guitarists Michael "Kosho" Koschorreck and Thilo Zirr are in a musical class of their own.
