Matthias Held makes singer-songwriter jazz pop with vocals, piano, groove and loops.

With his jazz vocal studies behind him, plus a cappella, acoustic and music cabaret experience, he created the "SingSuche/SongQuest" program. The accompanying CD in 2021.

The new program from 2023 is called "Db-tination" (pronounced: Des-tination)

The EP was released in January 2024.

Songs in German and English, thoughtful, funny or whimsical,

with stylistic influences from swing, pop, soul, bop, Latin, blues and country.

In short: love songs, song cabaret - and that kind of thing.

In his songs, Matthias Held addresses current developments on the most diverse levels both seriously and with quiet humor. Although not free of all clichés, his versatility allows him to combine thoughtfulness with good humor and show attitude.

His role models include Purple Schulz, Mel Tormé, Die Feisten and Roger Hodgson.
