Soundtravelers
In the artist's words:
We 8 musicians from Soundtravelers open up special architecture with sounds from the most diverse origins.
We say goodbye to the concert hall and armchairs and move freely through the given spaces together with the audience.
We explore the tensions between visibility and acoustics and cross boundaries between jazz, classical, pop, early music, dance, theater and free improvisation.
The orientation of the audience is put to the test.
We were founded in 2017 and won the D-Bü competition of the German music academies in Berlin with the prize for special concert formats. We played at night in the Pergamon Museum.
This was followed by concerts at the Artbreit Festival, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival and the Museum of Fine Arts Leipzig, among others.
