Stefanie Schrank is a visual artist and bassist in the Cologne-based band Locas In Love. With her first solo album "Unter der Haut eine überhitzte Fabrik" from 2019, she began to assemble her sophisticated pop from analog synthesizers and angular, elegant grooves. She was supported by Düsseldorf-based Lucas Croon (Stabil Elite, BAR). Her highly acclaimed LP was hailed by the press as "the pop debut of the year, ... rich and big and of restless grandeur. It is nothing less than one of the greatest gems that German pop has produced in the past year (Die Zeit)." Then came the global pandemic, in which the artist saw her reality crumble and had to put it back together again. The first interim result: the new mini-album "Schlachtrufe BRD", which will be released on April 20.
