Philipp Sutter & Simon Wangen - Cello & Piano

Simon Wangen is a classically trained cellist, Philipp Sutter is a trained jazz pianist. Their different musical roots merge on their instrumental album do you believe in spring? into a lively mixture of neo-classical, new jazz and Cinéma Nordique. Ten pieces are sometimes gloomy, sometimes wild, sometimes tender, always focusing on the dialogue between the two instruments, which harmonize so well. The subtle use of electronic effects constantly opens up new perspectives and builds a bridge to contemporary sound aesthetics. Cello and piano - this instrumentation has been established for centuries, but can always add new facets today.
