Suzanna

Suzanna was born in Berlin, spent her childhood in Damascus before going back to school in Berlin. In the nineties, she rose to stardom on the world music scene before heading out into the world once again, this time to Paris and Barcelona. Not a bad idea if you want to sing the chansons of this world. Back for a long time, she brings Russian gypsy songs, French chansons and gitano songs to life in a wide variety of chanson programs. Her CD "Tu Baval" from 1997 has since become a classic of the genre. She is currently also performing her own compositions with her own band Spreefalter. In 2014, together with her long-time musical companion Karsten Troyke, she was also part of the Sony project "POEM - Leonard Cohen in German".
