Sweet Electric

Sweet Electric are a new German-Australian band that collides classic heavy rock, glam and retro rock'n'roll. Singer Brad Marr is the swirling center, a high-energy performer in the midst of a raging storm driven by exceptional musicians.

Fat guitar riffs, bittersweet melodies and a good dose of self-irony pour out at the highest level in a distillation of the best rock'n'roll of the 70s and 80s, garnished with a pinch of more modern guitar rock.

Sweet Electric had only played just one live concert in their home town of Cologne when the first of two headlining tours in the UK was already on the cards. Ex-Motörhead guitarist Phill Campbell became aware of them and invited them to support the UK dates of his Kings of The Asylum tour.

The five musicians are no strangers to each other. While Brad Marr has been filling rock clubs across Europe with MASSIVE for over a decade, Michael Krol (electric guitar), Mike Schneider (electric guitar), Nico Stallmann (drums) and Jonas Bareiter (electric bass) have toured internationally with bands such as THE GÄS, JIN JIM, SHAHIN NAJAFI or TOM ALLAN & THE STRANGEST through the USA, Canada, India, Africa, etc.

Now they are concentrating on SWEET ELECTRIC, a band that is often described with adjectives such as "no frills", "unadorned" or "raw" - in this case, all of which are true. It's musically adept and versatile, but never succumbs to the danger of adding too many frills - no, Sweet Electric don't drag any ballast along with them. Because their songs and their performance don't need any exaggerated theatricality, no fancy embellishments. Could get loud.
