With her upcoming album "The Lighthouse", Dutch-British singer, songwriter and composer Tessa Rose Jackson is opening a new chapter: after years of releasing music under the stage name Someone, under which she created artful, electronic dream-pop worlds, she is now presenting her most personal and honest musical work.

Created in a quiet place in France - more precisely in a house next to a cemetery - "The Lighthouse" sounds like a beacon in the fog: it is about loss, but also about courage and finding one's own light again. Inspired by artists such as Beck, Joni Mitchell and Fiona Apple, Tessa touchingly weaves organic folk, cinematic atmosphere and introspective lyrics into a work full of warmth and depth.

In songs such as "The Man Who Wasn't There", "Grace Notes" and "Wild Geese", she reflects on missed life paths, on grief and gratitude, on letting go and moving on. Despite the theme of death, "The Lighthouse" is not a gloomy album, but a work of consolation. Quiet, radiant proof that thinking about the end also means feeling life all the more deeply.

Tessa Rose Jackson is an artist who learned early on that life and transience are inextricably linked. Growing up in Amsterdam with two mothers and shaped by the early loss of a parental figure, she found a refuge - and a calling - in music. Her flair for emotion, sound and visual art still permeates everything she creates today.
