Discover The Academic, the dynamic indie rock band from Killucan, County Westmeath. Consisting of Craig Fitzgerald, Dean Gavin and brothers Matthew and Stephen Murtagh, they topped the Irish album charts in January 2018 with their debut album "Tales from the Backseat". Their second studio album "Sitting Pretty" went straight to number one in the official Irish album charts on February 10, 2023.
