With their new album "Through This Fire Across From Peter Balkan", The Mountain Goats open another extraordinary chapter in their career spanning over three decades. Born from a dream of frontman John Darnielle, the work grows into a full-fledged musical - conceptually dense, emotionally charged and musically more opulent than ever before.

Produced by Matt Douglas, the album combines anthemic melodies, narrative depth and an orchestral sonority that goes far beyond the boundaries of previous works. Supported by guests such as Tommy Stinson (The Replacements), harpist Mikaela Davis and Lin-Manuel Miranda, a dramatic story of survival, fate and hope unfolds - classic Mountain Goats, but in a completely new dimension.
