The Romantidote

In the artist's words:

The musical alter ego of Scottish singer-songwriter Calum Bolland,, The Romantidote was conceived in Berlin late 2019. An effortless and unique blend of “acoustic indie ballads” (The Skinny) with tragicomic theatrical performances, each live show is unmissable. Citing influences in Bob Dylan, The Magnetic Fields and Flight of the Conchords, the mix of styles works due to the unmistakable style of Bolland’s writing. An authentic and natural voice prone to irony and self-effacement, his songs engage with grand themes of today’s debate: questions about art and motivation, Berlin's sexual degeneracy, and the decline of Morrissey on a human level amongst others.
