SEA ROCKING with the SHANTEES

Musically, the SHANTEES interpret rock, pop and soul songs as well as shanties and traditional songs in a rocked version. The repertoire ranges from Elvis, Queen, Tina Turner, Beatles, Shakin Stevens, Nena, Achim Reichel, SANTIANO, Amy Winehouse, ZZ Top to classics from the 50s/60s and more.

The songs put you in a great mood and have links to freedom, adventure, joie de vivre and Bremerhaven.

The playing is stylistically crisp and catchy.

Do the SHANTEES also play shanties? Yes, they do - and only if the shanty songs rock well. So we don't do the rocking songs. The boys and girls in the fishermen's shirts and red neckerchiefs do that much better than we do.
