The DJ and music producer Tiësto is one of the most successful musicians in the world. With several 'Billboard Awards', 'Grammys' and the multiple award as 'The Greatest DJ Of All Time' from the British DJ Mag, he is known as a legend in the international music scene.

Tijs Michiel Verwest was born in the Netherlands. He recognized his interest in DJing at an early age and began to live it up on the discs. He worked as a resident DJ in a club in his home town of Breda.

In the years that followed, he released tracks under various artist names on different labels and founded his own label 'Black Hole Recordings' with 'Arny Bink' until his big breakthrough in 2000.
