Torben Klein - Cologne dialect singer with both feet in the middle of the people!

In 2008, he entered the Cologne carnival scene and directly helped the formation "Boore" to a new career upswing with increasing numbers of performances. After just one year, he is courted by several top bands on the Cologne scene and decides to join the band "Räuber".

With "Dat es Heimat", the well-known hymn to the cathedral city of Cologne, he is even able to oust Helene Fischer from the throne of the iTunes hit charts as singer, lyricist and producer with the Räuber. With the High German discofox title "Wenn ich träum in der Nacht", Torben once again shows his flair for hits and transforms the song into a nationwide dancefloor hit, for which he is again responsible as producer, arranger and singer.

With the song "Für die Iwigkeit", he single-handedly wrote the hit of the 2017/2018 carnival season for the Räuber and once again set an exclamation mark. Named a session hit by the "Kölner Express" on the day of its release, the song quickly thrilled the masses. On Amazon and iTunes, "Für die Iwigkeit" reached the top chart positions. A short time later, the Luxembourg version "Bes aan'd Ewigkeit" was number 1 in the Luxembourg single charts for weeks. Mickie Krause recorded a successful High German version of "Für die Ewigkeit" in 2018, conquering the entire country and, of course, the Germans' favorite island.

With "Immer wenn ich ahn ming Heimat denk" (Whenever I think of my homeland), he once again hits the box office for Die Räuber in 2019 and the entire Rhineland sings the Cologne lyrics "Home is where the Dom is".

In 2019, Torben Klein makes a fresh start and launches his solo career. The debut single "Fründe für et Levve" goes straight from zero to number 6 in the iTunes charts. The first solo album "Allein" also makes it straight to number 1 in the iTunes download charts and makes it into the nationwide album charts at number 65. The subsequent carnival hit "Lääv" takes 2nd place in the WDR4 hit parade in the 2019/2020 session and wins the Silver Carnival Oscar at the Express in Bonn.

In 2020, Torben releases another strong new title with "Südstadtmädche" and is placed on the hit compilation "Kölsch & Jot -Top Jeck 2021", which enters the top 10 of the nationwide compilation charts. The "Stereoact remix" of "Südstadtmädche" follows in spring 2021 and in summer the cover version of the 70s cult hit "Heu in Deinen Haaren", which Torben Klein presents live on ZDF's "Fernsehgarten". With "Zesamme", the new Sessions title 2021/2022 is created with hit producers Summerfield Records. The Cologne version of a duet by party kings Ikke Hüftgold and Lorenz Büffel reaches the top ten on WDR4's "Jeck Duell".

To mark the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Willi Ostermann Society, Torben Klein releases a video on Rose Monday 2022 with a tribute to Willi Ostermann: "Och wat wor dat fröher schön doch in Colonia". The album "Heimweh nach Köln" was a big seller and within a few weeks the first edition and the Ostermann revue that accompanied it were sold out.

His new Sessions single "Wunderschön" was a hit in its first month. The song recorded over 600,000 streams within the first four weeks.

His heart beats for Fastelovend and the Cologne dialect. You can feel that directly. Even in neighboring countries such as Austria, Belgium, Holland and on the sunny island of Mallorca, he captivates audiences.
