Valentin Tszin

In the artist's words:

Valentin Tszin is an internationally renowned avant-garde artist and Butoh dancer from Berlin. He combines martial arts with non-verbal, physical theater as well as the philosophy and art of Butoh and understands his artistic activity as an always unfinished, ongoing transformation.

Having defined Butoh for himself as a "virus" that seeks new territories in order to survive, Valentin has spent more than 12 years of wide-ranging research connecting Butoh with new fields. Through numerous experiments in the fields of film, video and techno culture (projects for Berlin Atonal, CTM Festival, Halle am Berghain, Smoke Machine, Ampere Open Air, Gamma Festival and many more), Valentin began to develop his own artistic method "Das Gegenteil" in 2017.
