The German-Chilean Victor Rodriguez fascinates with his unmistakable mixture of pop, reggaetón and elements of Chilean nueva canción: hard beats and catchy melodies meet fragile tones and traditional instruments such as the charango and pan flute, which make the vastness of the Andes and the history of Chile tangible.

Victor has a personal connection to the Nueva Canción movement, as his father was a spokesman for this socio-political movement who opposed the Pinochet dictatorship and eventually had to flee into exile.

In his debut album "Unidos", Victor deals with the death of his father and allows his legacy and his own relationship to his native Chile to live on through music. With the central message "Vamos Unidos", he takes up the ideals of the Nueva Canción: Friendship, love, hope and equality.

This message becomes tangible at his live shows: together with his musician friends, Victor brings his atmospheric yet catchy music to life in large or small ensembles.
