Volker Beck is managing director and partner of the Tikvah Institut gUG. He heads the Scientia project in the BMBF joint project "EMPATHIA³ - EMpowering Police Officers and TeacHers in Arguing Against Antisemitism". After many years as a member of the Bundestag (1994-2017), he worked as a lecturer at CERES, the Center for Religious Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum. The German-Israeli Society (DIG) e.V. elected him as its president in 2022.
