Will CASSEL

Draughtsman and object performance artist. He worked and lived in Krefeld in his studio on Kuhdyk and died on 30.12.2023.

From 1965, he used the dwarf as a cipher and central, recurring motif in actions to draw attention to grievances. In his art, acrylic/watercolor/ink drawings, encaustic cloth paintings and objects, the dwarf stands for the smallness of being, microcosm and macrocosm of the world theater.
