Wortsport Festival

Our festival in Berlin brings together all varieties of stage language art: Wordplay, song lyrics, poetry and storytelling, choral speaking, human beatbox, multilingualism, a cappella, poetry and dance, freestyle rap, sign language and, of course, poetry slam.

Wortsport 26 aims to break down boundaries: This is where the rapper meets the lyricist, where beatboxing meets storytelling, where professionals and up-and-coming talent come together in conversation. Workshops offer you the opportunity to learn directly from experienced artists - and to try things out for yourself.

Particularly exciting: fifteen young language artists from all over Germany will enrich the festival - all born after 2000 - they will contribute their own perspectives, provide fresh impulses and open up spaces in which you can find yourself.
