The voice of a global peace movement

Yael Deckelbaum is much more than a singer-songwriter - she is a musical ambassador for peace, a powerful voice for change, justice and female strength. With her unique blend of folk, soul and spiritual sounds, she creates music that touches hearts and breaks down walls.

Yael gained international fame with the viral peace song "Prayer of the Mothers", which became the anthem of the women's marches for peace in Israel and Palestine. Her songs are often created in the midst of movement, protest and hope - carried by a deep spiritual strength and an unshakeable belief in the power of collective healing.

Whether at international festivals, in occupied streets or in quiet acoustic moments, Yael Deckelbaum invites her audience to connect, listen and dream together. Her music is a call to unity - courageous, stirring and deeply human.

For her committed work within the peace initiatives Women Wage Peace (Israel) and Women of the Sun (Palestine), Yael Deckelbaum was awarded the Günter Wallraff Prize for Freedom of the Press and Human Rights together with Meera Eilabouni in 2024.
