DJ Yaso G moves as easily between genres (dance music / bassline / baile funk / bass / rap / bootybounce) as he once did between regions. Born in the Ruhrpott, raised in Spain, long commuting between Hamburg and his new adopted home Berlin-Kreuzberg, every station along the way was (stylistically) formative. The first Missy CD and growing up with hip hop play a role, but above all the Kurdish roots and influences of friends, community and her B2BCREW. Bringing it all together, weaving a mix from the loose threads: poli-rhythmic and bass-heavy, with rap from the queens and queers of the scene, that's what makes Yaso G's set so empowering and full of energy.
