Of course, summer in Bergmannkiez also means pistachio ice cream at Duo Sicilian Ice Cream. By the way: if you can't find this place on your map, it's because it's now called "Gelato Disco"! This sweet specialty coffee café was opened by Nora Šmahelová, winner of the German Barista Championship 2002, together with Björn Köpke. Fitting for the Bergmannkiez: small but nice for a tasty coffee or delicious pastry. There are very special roasts here: The varieties are sophisticated and unique.

Really underrated in our opinion: the Marheineke flea market in the Bergmannkiez. It takes place every Saturday and Sunday! You can also sample delicacies from different countries in the market hall next door!

The Bergmannkiez Marheineke market hall offers an exclusive selection of fresh products on 2,500 m²: Meat, cheese, milk, bread, fish, juices, fruit, vegetables and flowers, some organic and regional. There are also specialties from Italy, Greece, Spain and the Arab world. The gastronomic offer includes organic ice cream in summer, a wine shop, international snacks, cozy cafés and the Matzbach restaurant with a terrace overlooking Marheinekeplatz.

The delicatessen in the Bergmannkiez has been run by the Celik family since 1986. Originally a Turkish grocery store with a butcher's shop, it now offers a wide range of Mediterranean specialties, including wines, oils, vinegars, pasta, spices, salts and chocolates. A must-try in Bergmannstraße!
All infos for the locationAlso absolutely worth a visit: the Sahara snack bar in Bergmannstraße. Sudanese specialties with peanut sauce. We love it very much! Cheaper than a kebab, but at least as tasty.
