Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque
Every October, the sky over Albuquerque is transformed into a sea of color during the International Balloon Fiesta from 5 to 13 October 2024. Hundreds of hot air balloons can then be admired in the sky. In addition to the mass launches at sunrise, the festival also offers evening balloon glows, fireworks and craft markets.

US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach
From August 3 to 11, 2024, the US Open of Surfing will take place on Huntington Beach as the world's largest surfing event. The best surfers have been showing off their skills here since 1959. There is a small campsite directly behind the beach where you can not only be in the middle of the action, but also fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Dreamlike!

New York City's Village Halloween Parade
On October 31, New York City's Greenwich Village is transformed into a spooky spectacle for the world's largest Halloween parade. At nightfall, around 50,000 people take part in New York City's Village Halloween Parade. To be one of the two million or so spectators, all you have to do is turn up - Free admission. The parade, which has been taking place since 1973, starts at Canal Street and 6th Avenue and runs all the way to 15th Street East.

Independence Day in Washington D.C.
July 4 is a historic day in the USA, as it was on this date in 1776 that the Declaration of Independence was signed. Washington D.C. celebrates this event every year with a variety of events, including the National Independence Day Parade and a spectacular fireworks display over the National Mall. If you're in the area, you shouldn't miss this celebration!

Comic Con in San Diego
Comic Con in San Diego is the world's largest gathering for comic, film and series fans. From July 25 to 28, 2024, thousands of visitors are expected to slip into the costumes of their favorite characters. The Convention Center attracts people from all over the world who want to attend panels and meet their idols.

Coachella in Indio
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, April 11-13, 2025, is one of the world's most famous music festivals. Every year, the diverse line-up of rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and techno attracts tens of thousands of fans to the grounds near Palm Springs and Los Angeles. In addition to the musical acts, Coachella offers various art installations and a unique atmosphere. As is typical for festivals, you can also camp here in your own van and experience the full Coachella feeling.

Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert
Once a year, the Black Rock Desert in the US state of Nevada becomes Black Rock City, a city created by its inhabitants. From August 25 to September 2, 2024, around 80,000 people gather there to celebrate art and culture under the motto "Curiouser & Curiouser". Little info: Unfortunately, you are not allowed to camp in the city, as no vehicles are permitted here.
