Euro 2021: Where you can watch the matches live
The ball is rolling again. If you don't want to watch the upcoming European Championship matches at home, but want to go public viewing instead, we have picked out some good places for you to watch.
Backstage
No soccer without the Backstage! Although there are no or very few concerts there so far this year, at least you can watch soccer in the Backstage. The games are shown in the covered beer garden, so you're totally independent of the weather. Best of all, the Backstage has switched from König Ludwig to Augustiner beer. So nothing stands in the way of a glorious summer of soccer. Cost: 8.50 euros for a ticket; in addition to the reservation, the price includes a voucher for a one-liter drink.
Löwenbräukeller
80335 München
The Löwenbräukeller is also opening its beer garden and invites you to watch the European Championships - with everything from Bavarian delicacies to Tex-Mex platters. However, this only applies in good weather, so it's best to keep an eye on the weather forecast. In addition, the principle of first come, first served applies in the beer garden. Unfortunately, there will be no public viewing in the large ballroom this year.
Seehaus im Englischen Garten
80802 München
The Seehaus has been one of the best-known spots for public viewing for years. This year, however, there won't be a screen but five screens where you can watch the European Championship together. All free-to-air matches will only be shown here if the weather is good. So if you want to be there, make sure you book in advance!
Vereinsheim
80802 München
You can also watch the European Championships in company at the clubhouse in Schwabing. Make yourself comfortable with the classic "currywurst with chips" or a vegan mezze plate and join in the excitement. You can either try your luck spontaneously or reserve a seat in advance to be on the safe side.
Augustiner Schützengarten
81379 München
The Augustiner Schützengarten attracts visitors with a huge LED screen and 3000 public viewing seats. The best thing is that all matches are broadcast here even if it rains. And the seats are of course popular, so it's definitely worth arriving early, as there can also be admission stops on site. Reservations are not possible here.
Stadion an der Schleissheimerstrasse
80797 München
The popular stadium on Schleissheimerstrasse is certainly no insider tip when it comes to watching soccer. Many a fan has feverishly followed various Bundesliga and Champions League matches here. And so we are naturally delighted that the stadium will also be available for the European Championships. However, due to the current regulations, the number of guests is limited to around 65 fans. So if you want to enjoy the full soccer experience here, you should definitely book in advance.
Villa Flora
The open-air garden at Villa Flora offers you plenty of space on selected European Championship match days. You can join in the excitement on the large LED screen and two small screens. Reservations are not possible, so we recommend simply being there when it opens at 6 pm. If the maximum capacity is reached, admission and re-admission is not possible.
Hirschgarten
How could it be otherwise? Of course, the European Championship games will also be shown in the Hirschgarten. Here you can enjoy a cool Augustiner beer, Steckerlfisch from Fischer Vroni and all kinds of other specialties. The games are shown on LED screens. On match days, access to the beer garden is only possible with a daily negative rapid test! Vaccinated or recovered persons can enter the beer garden without a test, but must provide proof of this. There are two test centers directly on site.
Muffathalle
The Muffatwerk beer garden is also showing the Germany games on the big screen. There are also 400 seats in a sunny south-west facing location, around 100 of which are protected from the weather under Munich's largest awning. As always, there will also be cold beer and the classic "stadium menu": grilled bratwurst in a roll, as well as vegetarian food!
