Mexican food: Burritos & Co.

At Condesa, you can get delicious Mexican street food at good prices. The fact that Mexicans like to eat here themselves is already a very good sign. Condesa is so popular that the snack bar already has three locations in Munich: at Münchner Freiheit, at the main train station and in Implerstraße. You can choose between burritos, burrito bowls, tacos and quesadillas, each of which you can order in one of seven flavors. You can choose from pork, beef and chicken creations as well as two vegetarian alternatives. Those who like it spicy will be just as happy here as anyone who cannot tolerate chilies. On a scale from 0 to 4, you can decide for yourself how much you want to suffer.

Zapata has been in Neuhausen for over 20 years and is a firm institution when it comes to Mexican food in Munich. The rustic restaurant serves a wide selection of delicious Mexican food. In addition to classics such as burritos, fajitas and enchiladas, you can also discover empanadas (stuffed corn tortillas) or chimichangas (deep-fried wheat tortillas) at Zapata - authentic dishes that you won't find everywhere. If you prefer to try several small dishes, you should take a closer look at the tapas. For dessert, we recommend stuffed churros. There is also a large selection of cocktails that you can order to go. Birthday children even get a cocktail on the house here.

You can also get really authentic Mexican food at Amigos Restaurant. The owner and chef Sami Braymuk has specialized in Mexican cuisine for the last 25 years and advertises the best fajitas in the city. The choice is huge. You can order the delicious wheat tortillas to fill yourself in 11 different creations. In addition to classic Mexican dishes such as fajitas or chimichangas, Amigos also offers a wide selection of Tex-Mex specialties such as BBQ Texas burgers or American sandwiches. For dessert, you can try a burrito - which is also available here in a sweet version with banana and vanilla ice cream.

As the name suggests, you can get burritos at La Burrita. The snack bar, which you can find twice in Munich, specializes in Californian burritos, quesadillas, salads and bowls. So this is not classic Mexican food, but rather Mexican-inspired specialties. You would be more likely to find these creative creations in Venice Beach than in Mexico City. However, burritos with blueberry BBQ sauce, vegetarian mushroom fajitas, carne asada fries and kimchi quesadillas will leave you wanting more. How about potatoes with cocoa sauce (patatas con mole)? Cocoa powder in hearty dishes is again typically Mexican - so just let yourself be surprised.
