In Cologne and the surrounding area, there are not only events and experiences waiting for you - but also lots of dogs that could use a little love (and sometimes a new leash). Whether it's walking senior dogs, donating food or helping to build kennels, the animal shelters in our city do great things every day - and they need support from people like you. The food bowls at the Zollstock animal shelter don't fill up on their own - but you can help: Sponsor food for your four-legged (or winged) friend and support their daily meal with a monthly contribution. Or simply throw a few cans into the food collection box the next time you visit the supermarket - they are available in many markets and are a great way to save the day.

And for all those who have always dreamed of having their own dog, but unfortunately don't have that much time: At the Cologne Ostheim animal shelter, you can actively support the care of the dogs. Walking, petting, playing and keeping the dogs busy, but also feeding and cleaning the dogs' homes would be part of your tasks once a week. Almost like having your own dog, but only almost!
