If you're not in the mood for pizza, the changing main courses are also great.

Hip-hop and the Bavarian economy - do they go together? It does, and the Spezlwirtschaft is the best example of this. After all, only hip-hop is played here, while the food and ambience clearly signal "pub". The simple chairs and heavy wooden tables invite you to feel at home here immediately. There is also friendly and down-to-earth service, high-quality and affordable food and good drinks. What more do you really need?

The oldest Spanish specialty restaurant in Munich is actually located in the Sendling district - welcome to Centro Español. Here you can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine of the highest quality and originality. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you feel like you've been transported to Spain. With fine wines and a diverse selection of tapas, there really is something for everyone on the menu. And because the eyes are usually bigger than the stomach, it is advisable to order fewer tapas at first and then keep ordering more. Because: the size definitely fills you up faster than you'd like! Apart from tapas, there is also paella and other Spanish specialties such as fish stew or chicken. And the perfect end to the fiesta is the crema catalana.

If you find yourself with a growling stomach near Brudermühlstraße, we recommend a detour to the Brother Mill Café. The cake display case offers a variety of cakes, tartlets and small tarts. Vegans will also find what they are looking for here. The cakes are accompanied by coffee from the GscheidHaferl roastery in the Bavarian Forest. If you fancy something hearty, you can look forward to filled baguettes, salmon bagels, toasted breads, e.g. with French soft cheese, radicchio, pear mustard and walnuts and various types of fluff cake.

Café Erika is a veritable paradise when it comes to gluten-free or vegan food and cakes. You'll be spoiled for choice here: apple and nut cake, classic cheesecake, white chocolate lemon cheesecake or Snickers cake - oh, why choose? Just pack a few pieces. What else Café Erika has to offer: lots of white, modern furnishings and stable Wi-Fi if you ever want to work there.

Located at Lindenschmitstraße 18, Beirut Beirut serves the best Lebanese falafel from owner Khudor. You can choose between various sandwiches with falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush or - particularly inventive - homemade chips in flatbread. If you prefer to have everything neatly separated on a plate instead of a sandwich, you will also find what you are looking for on the menu. We highly recommend the plate with everything, which you can order for the desired number of people.

Bavarian delicacies for breakfast with a view of the hustle and bustle of Lindwurmstraße: that's how it is at Café Stenz! But it's not just in the mornings, you can also linger here for lunch with classics such as homemade quiche, bowls, meat patties, burgers etc. What's special about Stenz is that almost all the ingredients for the dishes come from Bavaria. So here you can really speak of regional enjoyment.

Sugar Mountain in Obersendling is a 7,500 square meter area with a basketball area, a spacious skate park, an open area for the Mariposa Boxing Club and a 40 square meter climbing wall. The urban, gastronomic and sporting hustle and bustle of Sendling is expected to take place here until 2023. If all this action makes you thirsty, you can take advantage of the beer garden with a food truck offering, the so-called "Kollektivgarten 3000". And if you like gardening: You can also find the Radicchio Radicale community garden here.

"Bureau für Weinangelegenheiten" aka Vino Infernale is a very special wine store in Sendling: there is the right bottle for every price range! And if you can't make up your mind, you should definitely try their own creation, Frizzante 3000. Despite all the hype that goes on here, there is of course a lot of know-how behind it. What is sold is what convinces and tastes good. This makes buying wine a completely relaxed and even rather laid-back experience. A big plus: if you don't want to make the trip to Kochelseestraße 8, you can simply have the wines delivered to your home.

The Stemmerhof, once a real farm, is still the center of Sendling today and serves as a popular meeting place. It was the last farm in the Munich city area. Not only can you eat well there, you can also do your shopping in the farm store. Milk used to be sold in this room, which was freshly milked in the barn next door (now an organic market). In addition to delicatessen products, drinks and fresh food, you can also enjoy Bavarian snacks, changing daily specials and homemade quiche. You definitely won't go hungry shopping here.

If you're looking for flowers in Sendling, you'll find them at Lindahlia. The store takes its name from owner Linda, whose favorite flower is the dahlia. Put that together and you get Lindahlia. In addition to dahlias, Linda sells flower arrangements, individual bouquets, houseplants, hanging plants and the odd flower wreath.

If Westpark is too crowded for you, you don't have to leave the neighborhood for an alternative. There is also Sendlinger Park, which is often forgotten. Here you can not only walk, jog, cycle, see various allotments or skate. Sendlinger Park also boasts a beautiful view from Neuhofener Berg. On a clear day, the view extends not only as far as the Frauenkirche, but even as far as the Alps! At the highest point of Neuhofener Berg there is a pavilion with a fountain and right next to it a war memorial commemorating those who died in the Second World War.

Not an insider tip, but so wonderfully varied that it simply had to be on this list: Westpark. Here you will find plenty of sunbathing areas, a designated barbecue area, plenty of restaurants offering small takeaway dishes such as Gans am Wasser, a lake, an Asian garden and an open-air cinema(Kino, Mond & Sterne). In other words: a large selection of pretty unique spots and plenty of green space to lounge around in.
