To mark the tenth anniversary of their debut L'ISOLA DEI DANNATI, MONDO SANGUE are staging a meta sequel with REMAKE. Instead of a greatest-hits album, the discography of their "moonoverse" is deconstructed like a stylish director's cut and re-synchronized by illustrious guests.
All six previous albums - between soundtrack aesthetics, giallo references and cinematic pop culture - are represented as source material for the international "remakes". Artists from Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the USA reinterpret selected songs and transform them into a stylistically wild episodic film of disco, Italofunk and pop - the characteristic Italian genre film charm remains as a common thread.
The cast includes Andreas Dorau, Stefanie Schrank, Mille Petrozza, DJ Friction and Zwanie Jonson as well as the international acts Eroina (F), Carlos Valderrama (IT), Arturo Banbini (ES) and Dave Neabore (USA), among others. A special cameo is provided by the legendary Italian film composer Fabio Frizzi.
At the same time, MONDO SANGUE themselves remain present as creative directors of their retrospective and contribute their own new interpretations.
