100 Kunstwerke zum Thema Zeit | Werkleitz Festival 2026

Drawings, audio pieces, photographs, textile objects, installations, and figures, films, humorous drawings, large-format paintings, and atmospheric poems explore nature and space in relation to time, search for the moment through a media-critical lens, reach for lost, past, or longed-for time, negotiate biographical moments, tell of birth and the tides, of the present, utopia, and farewell—or shed light on our need to measure time.
At the heart of this year’s Werkleitz Festival, the major exhibition—spanning three floors—presents an impressive selection of contemporary works from over 300 submissions, set in stark contrast to the opulent historic department store architecture.
