The HAMBURG ARCHITECTURE SUMMER is one of the largest architectural culture festivals in Europe. It sees itself as a citizens' initiative and brings together actors and institutions from various artistic disciplines and different areas of society. First held in 1994, the 11th edition invites you to almost 300 events throughout the city from May to July - from local initiatives and actions in the city districts to exhibitions and international conferences. Kampnagel is also taking part with several formats. Karen Pein, Hamburg's Senator for Urban Development and Housing, and Christoph Winkler, Chairman of the Initiative Hamburger Architektur Sommer e.V., will speak at the official opening of this year's HAMBURG ARCHITECTURE SUMMER at Kampnagel. The keynote speech will be given by architecture and art critic Niklas Maak, who is one of the most important voices in the German-speaking architectural discourse.
