17. Architekturquartett NRW: Umbaukultur!

Once a year, the NRW Chamber of Architects organizes its popular "Architekturquartett NRW" - a public discussion event at which three new architectures/objects from NRW are discussed in an interdisciplinary manner under a guiding theme.

The 17th Architekturquartett NRW will take place on November 20, 2024 at the Dortmunder U and will focus on the topic of "Umbaukultur!". 👉 Three existing projects will be discussed that have been given a new use in the course of a conversion. The Marktquartier in Recklinghausen (conversion of a Karstadt department store into a mixed-use complex / architecture: AIP Unternehmensgruppe, Düsseldorf), the conversion of the Johanneskirche church into a children's daycare center in Leverkusen (architecture: zweipink Pink Architekten Partnerschaft mbB, Düsseldorf) and the conversion of the Hansa coking plant building complex in Dortmund into an event venue (architecture: Böll Architekten GmbH, Essen) will be discussed.
