In the 2nd Chamber Concert: Exceptional Works, musicians from the Dortmund Philharmonic present special treasures of chamber music at the Academy for Theater and Digitality: Mozart's great Divertimento and the G major String Quintet by Johannes Brahms. In a personal, informal atmosphere, the ensemble brings classics and rarely heard pieces to a place where classical music is rarely heard.

The great Divertimento by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is an absolutely exceptional work, a string trio that can only be compared with his greatest string quartets. Johannes Brahms had long intended to conclude his oeuvre with the String Quintet in G major, which incorporated themes from a planned 5th symphony.
