In the organizer's words:
A true classic is back. The legendary Saloppe soapbox race is entering its 21st round! On September 7, 2024, brave racers will once again have the opportunity to prove themselves on the dangerous slope of hell in Dresden and win the coveted "Prix de Saloppe"! The almost 1 kilometer long race track of the Prix de Saloppe stretches from the Sommerwirtschaft Saloppe to the Elbwiesen. The route allows spectators to be right up close to the action.
Holding back is not an option in this race - because whoever brakes first will be mocked by the pit ladies! So, step on the gas and hit the track!
The race starts at 14:30.
